Meet Jim

My hashtag is #LivingMyDream. I left my life in a major city several years ago and now I live year-round along the Platte River — just feet from the National Park border.

When I’m not lending a hand to a local non-profit, you’ll find me in my virtual backyard, paddling the waters and hiking the trails — exploring seldom visited areas. I’m a student of local history, and I love photography, animal tracking, and birding.

Just Ask!

There is no fee for my guide services. I happily accept gratuities and donate a significant portion to the Friends of Sleeping Bear Dunes, a non-profit that provides volunteers and funding to our National Lakeshore.

Feel free to contact me with any additional questions you may have about my guide services. I look forward to hearing from you.
